Desiring a Mediocre Judgment: A Quick Look into the Age Old Question of “How can a Good God Send People to Hell?”

So lets talk about hell.  That’s what everyone wants to talk about, right? Yeah, maybe not, but most people can agree that it’s an important topic.  Either you believe in hell and it makes you slightly uncomfortable to really think about it, or you don’t believe in hell/don’t know if you believe and have that thought in the back of your mind: “What if there is a hell?  What if I’m going there? No..there isn’t one…surely not, right? A loving God wouldn’t…surely he...

Free Audiobooks

After a certain amount of time books that are no longer within copyright are able to be reproduced freely. This website has taken full advantage of that and provided all kinds of free audiobooks for download. It’s not just books though! They have also recorded poems, speeches and even some of the founding documents of the United States. Go listen to some great classic books, refresh yourself on The Constitution or just find new books to listen to. Here is the link: Books Should Be...

Time and How Much You Really Have

Everyone is busy.  Everyone claims to not have any time, but why?  Let’s breakdown a typical workweek and find the time of day!  There are 168 hours in one 7 day week.  Most people work 40 hours a week and we will use an average of sleeping 8 hours per night. We can even assume that people typically spend 3 hours everyday, 7 days a week, driving to and from work and getting ready for work. I just completely update the layout and design….obviously!  I love the new layout and I hope you do too!  I will be posting more blogs in the near future.  Check out the new page I added: “Authors I Suggest“.  I have also updated the layouts of some other pages to make the pages more specific, so look around.  I have separated the “My Beliefs” page into 2 pages, “open-handed” and “close-handed” beliefs, so I will be adding to the open-handed section soon!   Thanks for...

Government Regulation

This is just a quick thought on government regulation.  I was just thinking about what is and is not regulated and it’s really interesting.  I am a Libertarian so I believe in limited government, but sometimes I wonder if I believe that equally.  I was recently reading Obama’s book, The Audacity of Hope, and he brought up an interesting point.  Obama says (not exact words) that he doesn’t believe gay marriage should be banned because he doesn’t think the government should have a say in what people do behind closed...

Organizing Financial Intelligence

This blog is purely for thought.  I’m not trying to convince you of a viewpoint, I am trying to educate you with facts and open your mind to think about this subject.  I want to talk about finances and our education system.  Where do they tie together?  Why have the richest people in our country not finished college and in many cases high school? Education in America I have many problems with our public school system, but today I’m not trying to complain and attack it, I am trying to learn and maybe teach.  I am sure most...
