This book will call you to truly be in love with God. Chan talks about God’s love and almighty power. It will put life in a new perspective for most Christians. A great read for Christians and non-Christians. You can learn more about the book and watch videos at www.crazylovebook.com.
Financial Books
The Total Money Makeover by Dave Ramsey
In my opinion, this is the best starting point for getting a handle on your finances. It doesn’t teach you how to be rich, but it does teach you how to not be broke and not be in debt! If you have debt you should start here. It will reshape your thinking if you think like a typical American. Plus, he is a Christian author!
Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert T. Kiyosaki
One of the first books I read about how the rich think. This is a great starting point for a sound financial future. I highly recommend reading this book if you haven’t. I have read Rich Dad Poor Dad many times and I still learn from it. This is a great book to change your thinking from poor or middle class thinking to thinking like the rich. Probably the best 2nd book to read for your financial future after The Total Money Makeover.
Rapid Debt-Reduction Strategies by John Avanzini
This is a great book also written by a Christian author. He shows multiple ways to eliminate and reduce debt for every area of your life. It is one of the most practical books I have ever read on debt reduction. This book is a must have for anyone in debt!
100 Ways to Create Wealth by Steve Chandler
I really thought this book was going to be the same as every other “100 this” and “100 that” finance book, but it really is different. It teaches you how to think smarter when it comes to money and it gives you great ideas for wealth building and better business practice. This is a great one to buy on audio and listen to in your car!
Relationship Books
His Needs Her Needs by Willard F. Harley Jr.
Probably the best book on marriage and a relationship. A must read for all new husbands and wives. There are chapters for men and for women and it’s best to read the whole book. A great start to understanding your new spouse or for having a better relationship with your spouse.
The 5 Love Languages by Gary Chapman
Understand your spouse, friends and everybody else really. This book shows you that people have specific ways they receive love and it teaches you how to understand which love language people are. Once you know somebody’s love language, it is easy to make them happy and keep them happy. This is a great read for anybody in any circumstance.
How To Win Friends and Influence People by Dale Carnegie
Very famous book about dealing with people. This book is a classic and it is just as relevant today as it was when it was first written in 1937. If you want to understand people better and make friends or have better relationships then you must read this one. Read it once, twice or once a year, it’s that good. I love this book!
